Lil Baby Ape Club is one of the latest NFT releases. Don't be fooled - they ain't cute. Three NFT creators stole the Lil Baby Ape Club cartoons from another creator and brought them to market four days earlier. 😬 While the artwork was a clear rip-off, the biggest problem threw the community off-guard. Cartoon apes in nazi helmets with racist stererotypes…🤢 As many creators spoke out against the fake NFTs, a rising reason for blame was ‘a lack of representation in the NFT community’. The blockchained tokens that give inalterable ownership rights to specific assets or as we call 'em, NFTs are thought of collectables, sometimes…investments. 🤔 Rarity, utility, and tangibility are a few things to consider when trying to value NFTs. Is it made by a famous creator? 🌟 Do you own one of the first creations (i.e. for instance, Cryptokitties)? Or does your NFT provide unique in-game effects? 🎮 The more desirable your digital asset, and the less of them there are, the more valuable it will be. Short-term traded NFTs may be tickets to a celebrity guest-listed event, while the NFT on a limited edition sneaker release will grow in value over time. Simple supply & demand. 📈
