No.3 Earth's Most Sustainable Stocks

Happy Earth Day, my Chers! As many of you know, we're going live on Clubhouse tonight and debating the age ol' question: Who pays for the first date in 2021? 🔥

In other news…sharing the world's most sustainable companies & their stocks, young people are making what mistakes when investing?, and Jake Paul's NFTs explained.

Investing in sustainable companies

On Earth Day, you bet we're sharing out the world's most sustainable corporations in 2021. Corporate Knights’s annual ranking was meant to be announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos but moved online due to the pandemic. The 8,080 corporations were ranked across multiple types of productivity (waste, water, carbon, energy) and people (injuries, fatalities, diversity across gender and race). Out of the top 10 most sustainable corporations, 5 are based in Europe; 4 are in North America, and 1 is in South America.

  1. Schneider Electric SE - France

  2. Orsted A/S - Denmark

  3. Banco do Brasil SA

  4. Neste Oyj - France

  5. Stantec Inc - Canada

  6. McCormick & Company Inc. - USA (NYSE: $MKC)

  7. Kering SA - France

  8. Metso Outotec - France

  9. American Water Works Company Inc. - USA (NYSE: $AWK)

  10. Canadian National Railway Co. - Canada (NYSE: $CNI)

Also, we wouldn't be ~finance made social~ if we didn't share some of our favorite sustainable brands. While we're featuring Pangaia today (not a paid promo), dress for the planet with these in mind.

Young people are making what kinds of mistakes?

The thing about today's market is that it's made up of two opposing investors: the old school players and the younger investors with market access through ‘Robinhood-dipped' fingertips. According to CNBC's Jim Cramer, what seems to be working today is the boring and old-school way of investing. However, the younger investors want what's ‘exciting’ like investing in $TSLA, and it doesn't always perform well. While we know this, it begs the question, what is truly the way to invest? It's not like the DOW or S&P500 are doing too well either?!…Ultimately if it lies in having an investing strategy rooted in diversification and proper DD, the younger generation of investors may not have as much fundamental experience but they'll get there.
